Born in the Tundra of Minnesota, I have since become a bit of a Gypsy. Currently calling home base the hot sands of Arizona, I do still travel often. Whether the journey is a physical one, or one taken by reading a fantastic book it doesn't matter, the fun is always in the adventure. As always I am an eclectic person that likes a wide array of things and has many passions. Creating, advocating for animals and Mothering just to name a few.

I hate being stuck. And what am I stuck on you might ask? I am stuck on what I want to make for my Maria costume. For those of you who don’t know who Maria is, she is the Vampire who Made Jasper from the Twilight Saga books. A Civil war era Vampire who thrived during the Vampire Wars with Jasper as the commander of her army.

First things First I know I will have to get red contacts. Because Maria feeds on humans. But other than that I am not sure what to do. I have had several ideas. But I haven’t been able to grasp on one. There are so many styles of Civil war dress I could go with. I don’t think Maria would be a fully upper crust lady, but something also tells me she wouldn’t be just a plain peasant. Jasper describes the three women when he sees them as beautiful and Angelic. I think the dress would be geared for that as well.

Presently I am thinking of a dress similar to this:

But I don’t see Maria in white. Of course I won’t fully know what she will be in until Eclipse is out and frankly I have no intention of waiting that long to make my dress. I pictured something off the shoulders at first. But now I am not sure. I have been playing back and forth on a lot of things.

Now my personal favorite color of course is purple. But I am not sure Maria would be in purple. Personally when I feel Maria I feel Reds and Blacks. But that’s just me. I could be wrong I am certainly not always right. So I am sure I have babbled and rambled and some of you are wondering what the heck I am talking about. Ha-ha. No fear I shall make it work. And when I do I will have pictures that I promise you.
