Born in the Tundra of Minnesota, I have since become a bit of a Gypsy. Currently calling home base the hot sands of Arizona, I do still travel often. Whether the journey is a physical one, or one taken by reading a fantastic book it doesn't matter, the fun is always in the adventure. As always I am an eclectic person that likes a wide array of things and has many passions. Creating, advocating for animals and Mothering just to name a few.

TAILS – “Brave”

Tell about a time when you felt brave or showed bravery. (This is TAILS so it needs to be a true/real post from your own life.)

A time when I felt brave. Well I feel like I have to be brave all the time fighting this disease. But beyond that I think I was very brave one time when I was working at Girl Scout camp. We were out on a staff ride and another one of our staffers fell off her horse and could not get back up. I had to ride my horse back to get someone with a car to help us. I than had to ride my horse back to show them where to come up the road. By the time we got her loaded my assistant had taken the other staff back, but I and one other were left with our mounts. The sun was gone, and going up the road wasn’t an option we didn’t want to get hit by cars, and it was a longer way. So, we road back through the dark woods on horse back. With a storm bubbling in over head. It was a fun ride! But you had to be brave too. We let the horses have their heads more than ourselves because they could no doubt see better than us. And we trusted them. I didn’t get hit with one branch, and we got back safe. So it was a wise choice.
