Born in the Tundra of Minnesota, I have since become a bit of a Gypsy. Currently calling home base the hot sands of Arizona, I do still travel often. Whether the journey is a physical one, or one taken by reading a fantastic book it doesn't matter, the fun is always in the adventure. As always I am an eclectic person that likes a wide array of things and has many passions. Creating, advocating for animals and Mothering just to name a few.

AlmostHuman-ep110_sc31_081

After a winter break that seemed to take forever Almost Human is back and packing the action once more and making us laugh with Kennex and Dorian interacting again. We start off with some interaction at the police station a solar flare has made power levels take a dip and everyone has to conserve. Sadly for Dorian the MX’s get charging priority so he solves the problem by decking someone that John is not overly fond of anyways. After some discussion we go back into the car. I really love the car scenes; Dorian brings up the possibility of living with John.

Meanwhile our bad guy strikes, knocking a seemingly normal guy out and when the man wakes up he has a times Bomb strapped to himself. The bad guy tells him what to do to get the bomb off of him, the man complies but unfortunately he gets picked up by Dorian and John. With only 45 seconds left on the Bomb there is no way to take it out. Meanwhile Dorian is having temper tantrums left and right because he is on a low charge, it is pretty funny to see him smacking things and being angry, just like a human. You get over tired or low on energy and well you will have a problem. Kennex of course is worried that Dorian may be going crazy since he is “one of the crazy ones.”

As Dorian and John close in on the bad guy he stays a step ahead of them..telling them welcome to the show and giving them the next victim. The poor girl is terrified while Dorian and Kennex work on the bomb and try to disconnect it. Simon however is taunting them, telling Kennex good luck and all of that. Of course like the internet tends to do while one moment they were cheering Simon, when the girl says she knows him met him online and that he was a loser they agree with her. Time is ticking and Dorian again tells John to put up the shield and step away, this time however he refuses and gets his hands in there with Dorian. Result..the woman is saved.  Meanwhile the pieces start to come together Simon is targeting people who have rejected him, a Loan officer who turned him down, the woman who ditched him on a date and the cop who rejected him from the bomb squad. Sadly they protect the wrong cop…Simon goes for Kennex.

Having taken his locator chip out and moved him the police department is going to have a heck of a time trying to find John. To top it off he is chained to a park bench. The only choice he gives John…is to disarm the bomb himself; he has a remote detonator so if anyone helps him at all he will go ahead and explode the bomb. The final moments of the show are nail biting keeping you on the edge of your seat wondering if they will be able to save Kennex in time. He is trying to save himself while Dorian and the other cops are trying to save him….thankfully Dorian uses the very last bit of his charge to electrocute Simon keeping his hand on the dead man switch as Kennex is able to cut the right wire.

Which is followed by one of those mad man giggle fits and later a drink, I do not blame him I would need a drink after that too!

Kennex even helps Dorian out with his charging issues by getting him some space away from the MX’s and places him with Rudy. Not what Dorian had in mind..but sure made Rudy and John happy!

Another win of an episode for Almost Human. The writing is fantastic and they know just how to lay out the intensity levels so where you can almost not take it anymore and then..they let the resolution come. Well done Fox.
