Missed last week due to being a bit busy but I love this Meme so back today!

This is Lace, she was Lyla’s sister and the second member of what we always lovingly called “The L Team”. We have since lost her as well but she was a Mama’s girl. So sweet and loving to Mama, but she was not a fan of Dad. Now some of what was his fault but it was for a good reason. When Lace was a kitten she was about to step on some broken glass that I was cleaning up and Dad tried to catch her so that she wouldn’t hurt herself unfortunately he ended up catching her by the tail. This was a slight that Lace never forgot. That is until Lyla passed away after Lyla passed she seemed to soften some towards Dad and would sit near him. Proving to him what I always said she really was a sweet girl when she wanted to be.

So once again NBC has canceled another fantastic show. SMASH is a fantastic show and one that should not have been canceled. Did some of the scripting need work? Yes alright it did. However you really had some great actors and fantastic musical numbers which to me overcame it. NBC has a history of canceling good shows before they can firmly gather a strong base around them.

One of the irritating things about this one is that E Online did of of their polls for save that show. SMASH won by a land slide..but of course NBC did not care nope canceled it anyways. Nice of them right? So there is my rant. I may rant more about it later…it really is not cool not cool at all. I am tempted to stop watching NBC all together.

The True Book Addict.

Today I shall introduce Cubby he is Thor’s big Brother and a big ole cuddle bug and coward. He is the biggest cat of the house 13lbs at his last weigh in and it is not fat he is just a big boy. Yet he is the bottom of the totem because he just is so sweet and gentle. Cubby loves having a box to sleep in alas his box usually gets stolen from him. So the other day when I had some 7 or so boxes out he plopped into one..and got a look on his face that you can clearly see here is “I got a box!” “I got a box and no one is stealing it from me!!!!” That’s my Cubby.

Okay so Baystate Blue and I may try this again. I really do love it as a blue it is my all time favorite blue. As a friend of mine who is a pen pal said, you can not stay broken up with Baystate blue and of course I can not. I simply can not. There are however some new rules.

Once again Baystate blue has it’s own pen. I will not mingle it with another pen. So it is in it’s own blue Preppy.

Than it also has a new storage place.

Yes that is a plastic baggy. The hope is if there is a repeat of what happened with the other incident that it will only coat itself in it’s baystate blueness. Also my Mom gave me a lovely carved box for my Birthday so all the poor abused nice pens are in there so they do not have to fear Baystate again. So we are back together…for now.

I love Teddy Bears and I did another Teddy Bear swap on Swap Bot. I think these cute little bears with the swings turned out pretty good.

Free association is described as a “psychonanalytic procedure in which a person is encouraged to give free rein to his or her thoughts and feelings, verbalizing whatever comes into the mind without monitoring its content.” Over time, this technique is supposed to help bring forth repressed thoughts and feelings that the person can then work through to gain a better sense of self.

That’s an admirable goal, but for the purposes of this excercise, we’re just hoping to have a little fun with the technique. Each week I’ll post ten words to which you can respond to with the first thing that comes to mind.

Step 1:

Combine chopped chicken, diced taters, corn and Amb’s secret spice blend in a fry pan and cook it all up.

Step 2: Avoid the cats trying to kill you and steal the food..

Step 3: Make homemade bread dough and set aside to rise.

Step 4: After cleaning counter (again) due to vulture like cats use tried and tested paper bag, add flour knead dough.

Step 5: After realizing you can not find the rolling pin and saying some colorful words about it..use wine bottle and roll out dough.

Step 6: Cut into whatever shapes you want. Add filling made.

Step 7: Add cheese. Do not forget cheese..Mmmm cheese

Step 8: Butter up tried and trusty baking pan..wrap up shapes mine end up looking like mummies. I am okay with that, I like Egyptian things. Butter little mummies and stick in the oven at 350 until cooked well and golden brown.

Step 9: Admire handy work as it cools.

Step 10: Serve up with choice of topping be it sauce or parm.

I know I am not the only one who has a cat who insists on helping with crafts or letters right? I know Missive Maven has Soda who helps with mail. Well I have several who are interested in different things. I am going to try to be more diligent at getting picture of them helping with mail and such.

Thor he is my crafty kitty he likes to help with whatever craft I happen to be working on.

Of course the above his idea of help. Sitting right smack dab on whatever I am working on. This happened to be the start of me working on some ATC’s that I am doing for Swap bot. On one side I am happy he is coming to help. Thor has been a little bit anti social as of late and in a “ticked off with the world” mood as we say. So his coming to help me out shows he is starting to be more social and wants Mama cuddles. On the other hand it is really hard to get any work done with him sitting on what I am working on.

Now if only I could teach him to hold the glitter while I worked..

I am still in a state of wailing over my poor injured pens. Which now includes walking around and randomly saying, E Tu Baystate Blue?! E Tu?! That might be a little bit over dramatic but it is how I feel. Of course saying that makes me remember I really still need to get my Rome is Burning Ink…same maker of Baystate blue Noodlers. So I guess not all is lost when I am saying that, right?

Also Thor sweet baby boy that he is is trying to make me feel better. He sat down on the pens and proceeded to give me this look.

Isn’t he sweet? Doesn’t he look like he is also saying E Tu Baystate blue?! Well maybe he is saying get over it Mom I love you. Who knows.Either way his sweet face helps calm me of my pen problems. Now if only he would move enough to let me write some letters.
